Dr. Todd-Breland Recognized for her New Book “I Didn’t Come Here to Lie: My Life and Education”

Congratulations to Affiliate faculty member Dr. Elizabeth Todd-Breland for the release of her new book I Didn't Come Here to Lie: My Life and Education! The book is a co-authored memoir about the life and legacy of Karen Lewis, a powerful educator and labor union leader in Chicago. Lastly, Dr. Todd-Breland has already received award recognition for I Didn't Come Here to Lie: My Life and Education from Public Narrative. The book has received the 2025 inaugural Timuel D.
