Professor Amanda Lewis receives 2022 ASA honors

Congratulations to Professor Amanda Lewis, UIC professor of Black studies and sociology; director of UIC Institute for Research on Race and Public Policy; and LAS distinguished professor! She is one of two scholars to receive the Cox-Johnson-Frazier Award from the American Sociologist Association in recognition for excellence in her work in the intellectual traditions of Oliver Cox, Charles S.
