BLST Friday Luncheons: High on the Hog

Join us for the Screening and Discussion of Netflix docu-series High on the Hog: How African American Cuisine Transformed America.
The docu-series is hosted by Stephen Satterfield–food writer, former sommelier and trained chef–High on the Hog discuss years of scholarship and the life of Black people in the United Stated and the African Diaspora to tell us how African Americans have shaped cuisine in the United States.
We will watch two of the four series episodes: The Kingdom Rice (March 10) and Our Founding Fathers (March 31). BLST faculty, students, and staff will engage in great conversations after each screening. Delicious food inspired by each of these episodes will be served.
