About
I am a native Chicagoan and an alumna of UIC. Since returning to UIC as a graduate student, I worked as a teaching assistant and was privileged to serve as a graduate research assistant for Professors Sue Levine, Lynn Hudson, and Jane Rhodes. I also was a part of a dynamic team at the Midwest Nursing History Research Center located in UIC's College of Nursing that created an oral history archive and an academic website detailing Chicago archives and repositories with relevant holdings pertaining to the history of Chicago's Black nurses. My current research centers around Black soldiers and nurses stationed at Camp Grant in Rockford, Illinois during and immediately after WWI.
