Professor Barbara Ransby Featured in In These Times Magazine
In These Times magazine features an article by Barbara Ransby, UIC distinguished professor of African American studies, gender and women's studies, and history, who writes about President Trump’s pardon of former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Ransby, who is also director of the Social Justice Initiative at UIC, says the action sends a dangerous signal during a perilous time in U.S. history.
