Richie - LAS Distinguished Professor, Head of the Department of Criminology, Law and Justice and Professor of Black Studies at UIC, nominated a 2022 Marguerite Casey Foundation Freedom Scholar. The Freedom Scholar award exemplify a commitment to scholarship benefitting movements led by Black and Indigenous people, migrants and queer people, poor people, and people of color.
