Course Description

The Black experience, focusing on African and African American culture, the slave trade, slavery and emancipation in the Americas, 20th and 21st century social relations, and struggles for civil rights. General Education: Understanding the Individual and Society course; Understanding U.S. Society course.

This is a required course for BLST major/minor fulfillment.

3 credit hours.
