BLST 110: Introduction to African American Literature: 1760-1910

Course Description

Comprehensive survey, 1760-1910, from earliest folk roots to formal literary tradition. Same as ENGL 118. General Education: Understanding the Creative Arts course; Understanding U.S. Society course.

This course also fulfills the Cultural Production and Analysis and Diaspora and Transnational Studies major/minor theme requirements.
